I know how much work sits behind a smooth customer experience. My background brings together the operation of demanding venues, the systems that support them, and the creative work that helps a business present itself clearly.
Today, I bring that experience into branding, websites, photography and practical business systems. You work directly with me—from understanding the problem to handing over the finished work.
A practical foundation
I bring more than eight years of operational and compliance experience, including hands-on work helping operate multiple busy entertainment venues across Aberdeen’s Music Hall, His Majesty’s Theatre and The Lemon Tree.
My experience reaches beyond what the audience sees. Working operationally and backstage gave me an understanding of the coordination, preparation and attention to detail behind a venue that runs well. It also taught me to think about how one part of an operation affects the next.
I’ve worked with established systems as part of that day-to-day delivery, as well as creating systems and procedures myself. I understand the difference between something that looks organised on paper and something people can rely on when work gets busy.
From November 2025 to July 2026, I worked as Facilities and Compliance Officer at The Old School Thornhill. In a shared community building, I developed health-and-safety management systems, PVG management processes and working procedures supporting tenants, instructors, children’s activities and events.
That is the perspective I bring to your business. Before choosing a tool or designing a page, I want to understand who uses it, what they need to do and where the current process makes their work harder.
Technology meets visual thinking
My computing background includes ICT study at Levels 2 and 3, Cisco IT Essentials and an HNC in Computing, followed by further HND study. I apply that grounding through Excel, Google Sheets, Apps Script and websites—turning a business process into a practical tool people can use.
I completed IOSH Managing Safely in 2026. Alongside my operational experience, I’ve developed management systems and working procedures for a shared community setting. That helps me connect records and responsibilities to the work they are there to support.
HNC and HND qualifications in photography and digital advertising underpin my creative work. Through freelance photography and design, I’ve worked with barbers, restaurants, cafés, sports charities and entertainment events—creating imagery and visual materials for different audiences and settings.
That experience includes commercial food shoots, logo design for a barber shop, and Facebook branding and photography for a busy Aberdeen restaurant. My work for Retro Dance also brings creative content, branding and its online presence into the wider business project.
I think about where the work will be used: a dish that needs to look inviting, a business that needs a recognisable identity, or an event whose atmosphere deserves to be captured. The aim is to help people understand and connect with the business behind the image.
I started Compliance Blueprints in March 2026 with compliance tools on Etsy. The common thread soon became clear: the same thinking can help with bookings, registers, payments, websites and everyday business administration.
The offer has grown, but the purpose is consistent: help businesses look professional and work more smoothly. A brand, a website and an internal system serve different purposes, but they should all make sense for the same business.
